The Hornby Island Housing Society (HIHS) is a non-profit society dedicated to providing comfortable and affordable housing for families, seniors, and individuals of all ages. We believe that safe and secure housing should be available for all members of our community. HIHS manages eleven independent living studio and one bedroom homes for seniors, ages fifty-five and up, in ‘The Elder Village’. The Village has been operating successfully for over twenty years. Rental homes for residents of all ages including families and seniors with low to middle income will be available at our new development at 5040 Central Road, ‘Beulah Creek’, now in the planning stages in partnership with BC Housing.
