Become a Member of the Society
We welcome new members to the society! By becoming a member, you help us to demonstrate wide community support for the Hornby Island Housing Society, which is important when we apply for government and foundation grants. Affordable housing benefits the entire community, and having a large membership aids us in raising awareness of the importance of housing for everyone.
As a Hornby Island Housing Society Member you will:
- Be a part of the Society’s decision-making;
- Become eligible to sit on the Board and to elect the directors;
- Share your skills, knowledge, expertise, ideas and energy;
- Demonstrate to funding agencies our continued community support.
To become a lifetime member, please make a one time membership donation on a sliding scale of $10 to $100, according to your budget and preference. Cheques can be made out to Hornby Island Housing Society and sent to Box 33, Hornby Island BC V0R 1Z0. Any cheque made out for $20 or more will receive a tax receipt. Thank you!
