The Hornby Island Housing Society (HIHS) is a non-profit society dedicated to providing comfortable and affordable housing for families, seniors, and individuals of all ages. We believe that safe and secure housing should be available for all members of our community. HIHS manages eleven independent living studio and one bedroom homes for seniors, ages fifty-five and up, at ‘The Elder Village’. The Village has been operating successfully for almost thirty years. New rental homes for residents of all ages including families and seniors with low to middle income are now available, in partnership with M’akola Housing Society and BC Housing, at ‘Beulah Creek Village’ 5040 Central Road.
